First day of saving, and I'm doing pretty well.
Met up with Pearl this morning for breakfast and instead of getting that awful tasting doughnut from 7-11, I made my own peanut butter sandwich. It's been ages since I had something like that. A pity she had an ulcer popping.
Managed to talked to some people and here it is, some tips to save. It's useful for me, probably useful for you too. Tip #1 for saving: Don't buy things that don't cost too much. Very often, small amounts to big! Buy stuff that is REALLY required.
Tip #2: Buy stuff off auctions, they're normally cheaper!
Tip #3: Home packed food costs less! (A lot cheaper!)
Tip #4: A gold nugget a day gives you 30 bucks a month. =P Coins do wonders. Save them!
Tip #5: Plan, plan, plan. As bothersome as it is, it helps.
Now now, do I sound like some ah soh? Very soon I'll be cutting out coupons from magazines to save more. haha. I know it's a little extreme, but it's satisfying to know how much I've saved.
On another note, I found a little motivation to keep myself in the game. 2nd class honours and nothing less. I lost sight of that for awhile, got distracted, wallowed in self pity.. maybe it's the ego stroke I've been having, it makes it everything seem less difficult. I've got a stable job, I'm doing pretty well in classes and to top it up, I've got a very fulfilling relationship with Pearl. What more can anyone ask for?
Mom's been really nice today. She didn't scream when she knew I met Pearl for breakfast with the car, and instead, told me to drive carefully. Perhaps I've finally proven to her that I can 'take care' of myself when something goes wrong. It's amazing how something as small as this accident can make me see things that I've been blinded to.
Time seem to be running out but I don't quite know what I'm rushing for. Money and time seems to be in proportion. If it's a waste of money, it's probably a waste of time. 23 will be a good year for me.
Somehow, I seem to have found the very last missing piece of me.
The End!
